Message from the President |
Dear Skal Members,
It’s hard to believe we are already in the month of February. Our special event at Johnson & Wales is just a few days away and as usual promises to be one of the most enjoyable and special when it comes to culinary delights. I know we just have a few spaces left so if you haven’t sent in your reservation and meal choice, you must hurry in order not to be left out!
I want to thank Robert Lacle and his staff for an excellent event this past month. The food and service were both exceptional. All of us in attendance had a great time and it was nice to “show off” for our visiting SKAL dignitary Hope Phelps.
Membership renewals are coming in nicely but this is now the time of opportunity to
encourage your peers to become part of the “Greatest Rotary Club” and enjoy the networking and great venues we have this year. Remember you are doing them a favor to invite them to experience the Amicale at our club.
Looking forward to seeing you all at Johnson & Wales Tuesday night…

Miami SKAL Past President Lawrence Sena Passes

Lawrence Albert Sena, past President (1989) of our Club passed away February 2, 2010. He will be missed by many.
A memorial was held Thursday Feb. 4, 2010 at Living Word Revival Center in Hayesville, NC.
"I have heard about SKAL all my life, and I am sure my daddy still has several people that he would like to know of his passing. Thank you to SKAL for giving and bringing him so much life through his years with us."
