Message from the President

Dear Skal Members,

I look forward to seeing you all at our November 10th meeting (FIU North Campus) as we begin the Holiday Season. We will follow up with a Grand Holiday Party on December 8th at the Eden Roc.

Your Board of Directors have decided on a great gift to all of you. Membership renewal fees for full members will be reduced from $595 to $395 for those renewing at the appropriate time. Retired members will also be getting a break.

At this upcoming meeting, we continue our growth of membership with the introduction of 2 new members. We encourage all of you to invite and share the SKAL experience with all professionals in our Industry.

Last, but not least, we look forward to hearing from all of you to donate fantastic gifts for our Holiday Raffle. Please contact Bob Burke with your generous offering.

Our new EST, Jerry Eastep, begins his term of office at this meeting as Lew finalizes his term. Thank you both, Lew for shouldering the responsibility this past year and Jerry for taking on this awesome job.

Member Spotlight

The Park Group is a transportation information technology and marketing services company that has been offering comperhensive computer software applications and services for airlines and other travel related organizations since 1985. The firm, with offices in New Your and Miami, has developed and markets a range of interrelated IT business products exclusively for the airline and travel industry.

Jerry Eastep is a founder of the Park Group, Inc. and has been President since its inception. He has more than 35 years in the aviation idustry in marketing, sales, pricing and operations roles. His resume includes 14 yers iwth Northwest Airlines in a variety of senior management positions in Asia and head office - including General Manager, Taiwan; General Manager, Korea; Director of Sales, Orient Region (Tokyo); and Director of Cargo (Worldwide). He alsoheaded up the Tariff Department at Northwest, overseeing all paassenger and cargo pricing policies, both domestics and intenational. Prior to founding The Park Group and subsequent to his tenur with Northwest, he was Executive Vice President Sales and Services with Alaska International Air and later President and CEO of Air North.

Jerry has been a member of SKAL since 1994; New York 1994-2001; Miami 2002 to present.
